CU Safe Alert: Police investigating attempted sexual assault

Composite (Attempted CSC Suspect) copyThe Clemson University Police Department is investigating an attempted sexual assault that was reported earlier this evening in Building A of the Core Campus construction site. The victim describes the suspect as a white male in his 30s, approximately six feet tall with an athletic build and a reddish brown goatee. The victim said the suspect is bowlegged.

The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a black and orange shirt and a yellow hard hat. The suspect was wearing brown boots with black soles and no shoelaces. He had a black smartphone with a case.

The victim stated the suspect attempted to force the victim to perform a sexual act, then fled.

Police are asking people to stay away from the area.
