Three motor vehicle thefts have been reported over the past week — including one earlier today — to the Clemson University Police Department (CUPD).
Two vehicles were reported stolen from the South Carolina Botanical Gardens between September 25 and 28 and one between September 30 and October 1. At least two of the vehicles were left unsecured.
Stolen vehicles include a 2001 Chevrolet K2500, 1999 Chevrolet Blazer and a 1999 Ford F-150. CUPD is investigating.
CUPD urges the following crime prevention tips to properly protect your motor vehicle:
- Do not leave keys inside your vehicle.
- Park in well-lit areas.
- Do not leave valuables in plain sight.
- Immediately report any suspicious activity on campus to CUPD at 864-656-2222.
